About the role

Job purpose

We are looking for a ‘hand’s-on’ Buying Assistant to support our Furniture/Lighting Buyers at Heal’s Head Office. This is a great opportunity to kick start your Buying career with a prestigious furniture brand.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • On time and accurate product set up, E-com uploads, price changes and NAV maintenance
  • Managing pricing and invoice queries to maximise margin potential
  • Sample management including for sign offs, photo shoots, press shows and dealing with Press and Marketing requests, 
  • Provide additional administrative and practical support and assistance to the Buyers as needed

Key Skills & Experience

  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly analytical & numerical skills as well as great attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word; NAV is ideal but not essential
  • Practical, a logical thinker and a confident communicator with excellent admin skills
  • Able to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • Being confident with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Maintaining excellent attendance and time keeping standards
  • Working well as part of a team with colleagues and management
  • Experience of working in a retail head office, ideally within buying, desirable
